Issues:

• A very long standing sub-contracted service with a private contractor but the Bursar and Governors required reassurance that the levels of service standards achieved and financial subsidy charged still represented the best value in market.



Solutions:

• Review Consultancy appointed to complete a full service review of the current services and financial audit of current costs against budget - benchmarking both service standards and costs against the best in the market today.
• An output report advising that service standards were good but recommending a renegotiation of the financial position was presented.
• With the Bursar and the contractor; renegotiation of the next remaining two years budgets of the existing contract.



Outcomes:

• £16,000 subsidy reduction per year for the remaining two years of the existing contract.
• Introduction of a monthly, termly and annual financial reporting process.
• Provided the school with three quotations for cashless systems from three credible, referenced companies.
